Frederick Police Arrest Alleged Drug Distributor

That same individual was also indicted by the Grand Jury last week.

 

 

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) In a coordinated effort among the Frederick Police, the Sheriff’s Office and the State’s Attorney’s Office, an alleged drug distributor in Frederick has been arrested.

Two undercover Police Department detectives conducted pro-active enforcement with the Sheriff’s Office that led to the arrest of Anthony Scott, 40,. of Frederick on August 26th.   Authorities say they also confiscated ten grams of cocaine and $1,094 in cash The amount of drugs and currency recovered from this operation indicate an intent to distribute and as well as active distribution, according to Frederick Police.

One undercover detective gathered additional evidence against Scott.  A search warrant was served in the 500 block of Ellrose Court, where police confiscated 91 grams of cocaine, multiple Oxycodone pills and $15,000 in cash. The drugs have an estimated street value of $10,000 . authorities say. 

Scott was indicted by the Frederick County Grand Jury on September 12th.   Police say the indictment lists these charges:

*Possession with intent to distribute cocaine

*Attempted distribution of cocaine

*Possession of cocaine

*Possession of paraphernalia (digital scale)

*Destroy/alter/conceal/remove physical evidence

*Possession with intent to distribute cocaine

*Possession with intent to distribute oxycodone

*Possession with intent to distribute cocaine within 1000 feet of school zone

*Possession with intent to distribute oxycodone within 1000 feet of school zone

*Possession of cocaine

*Possession of oxycodone

Scott is  currently being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
