Blaze contained to building exterior; state fire marshals open formal investigation.

Hagerstown, MD (JK) – Authorities have arrested 27-year-old Michael Boateng in connection with an arson at a popular book and video store on Dual Highway. Officials say witness reports and surveillance footage helped identify Boateng, who was taken into custody on an unrelated charge at a nearby Sheetz convenience store.

The fire was quickly contained to the exterior of the building, and no injuries were reported. State fire marshals have launched a formal investigation into the incident.

Store employees described the fire as shocking but expressed relief that damage was limited. Customers also voiced concern over the attack, noting the store’s importance to the community.
