Clear Spring, Md. (KM) There were no injuries from a one-alarm house fire Tuesday morning in Clear Spring.
60 fire fighters were dispatched to 13,403 National Pike shortly before 11:30 for a two-story, single family home on fire. They took 20-minutes to bring the flames under control.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire originated in the attic, but its cause remains under investigation.
Damage is estimated at $80,000 to the structure, and $10,000 to the contents. .
Fire officials say the home had smoke alarms, but it’s unknown if they were functioning at the time of the fire.
