Police Identify Suspect In Axe Attack

Officers are conducting a search for this individual.


Frederick, Md. (KM)  Frederick Police have filed charges against a suspect in connection with an axe attack early Monday morning near Mullenix Park. Jeremiah Juquine Williams, 24, of Frederick is charged with 1st- and 2nd-degree assault, reckless endangerment, wearing and carrying a concealed dangerous and deadly weapon and theft under $1,000.

Officers say they are in the process of locating Williams.

On Monday, police responded to the area of South Bentz and West Patrick Streets for a fight. They found the victim who had been assaulted by an individual with a small hatchet or axe. He was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital with a head injury. He has since been released.

Williams is described as a Black male, 5’4″, 110-pounds with black hair.
