CVS Beauty Heist

FREDERICK, Md. (KR) The Frederick Police Department arrested three people involved in a CVS robbery scheme of stores in Frederick and other surrounding counties. Police say the suspects robbed 25 CVS stores and took high quality facial and skin care products from July to September.

The Frederick Street Crimes Team began using surveillance from the stores and identified all three of the suspects involved. Police were able to track down 29-year old Joseph Moreland Jr.after he was arrested in Montgomery County for an attempted theft at a CVS and then caught trying to rob a nearby Safeway.

Authorities located 47- year old Cynthia Norwood and 26-year old Melissa Wilder after a theft in Frederick and located both suspects at a home near Regal Court. Almost $20,000 in total was stolen from the CVS stores in Anne Arundle, Frederick, Howard, Prince George’s, Mt.Airy, Ellicott City, and Greenbelt.

Norwood and Wilder were served with criminal summons of theft less than $1,000 and Moreland was charged with theft and theft scheme.
