Frederick Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Sat. Afternoon

The rider was wearing a helmet, police say.


New Market, Md. (KM)  The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash last Saturday.

Authorities say Codey Seiss, 22, of Frederick was riding his bike along Boyers Mill Road near New Market Court when he failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway. The motorcycle struck a concrete culvert. Seiss was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office says speed , operator error and failing to obey a traffic control device were contributing factors in this crash. At this time, it’s unknown if alcohol played any role.

Deputies say Seiss was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
