SHA says it needs to repair a collapsed drainage pipe.
Middletown, Md (KM) Route 40-A west of Marker Road in Middletown will be closed beginning at 10:00 PM on Friday, October 7th.
The State Highway Administration says it will repair a collapsed drainage pipe which will require the removal of the pavement.
A detour will be established. Motorists traveling west will be diverted left to Marker Road and then right to Bolivar Road before getting back on to Route 40-A. Eastbound traffic will turn right on to Bolivar Road, and then left on to Marker Road and back on to Route 40-A.
SHA says crews are expected to complete their work by Sunday evening, October 9th, weather permitting.
The $30,000 contract for the project was awarded to Image Asphalt Maintenance, Inc., Pasadena, Md.
