West Virginia Man Arrested for Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
FREDERICK, Md. (DG)-A traffic stop in Frederick leads to the arrest of a West Virginia man on drugs charges.
Frederick Police say an officer on patrol in the area of Baughmans Lane and Key Pkwy saw a vehicle with a safety violation.
The officer pulled the car over and made contact with the driver, Robert Herbert, and immediately detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
The car was searched and police found 125 grams of marijuana, various packaging materials, a digital scale, and a large sum of cash.
Herbert was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with possession of drugs, possession with intent to distribute drugs, and two traffic violations.
