Police say she was arrested Thurs. following a traffic stop.
Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police on Thursday night arrested a Charles Town, West Virginia woman for possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brandie Deano, 36, was taken into custody following a traffic stop along West Patrick Street near Linden Avenue.
Authorities say Deano failed to stop at a stop sign after coming out of the Giant Eagle Shopping Center on West Patrick Street, and appeared to be making movements as if she was looking for something or trying to conceal something. She eventually was stopped.
A police canine was brought to the scene, and did a positive sniff for drugs in Deano’s vehicle. She was removed from her car, and a search was conducted. Officers say they found a quantity of powdered cocaine. Deano’s person was searched, but police found no drugs.
Deano was taken to the Adult Detention Center for processing.
