Trash Collection Schedules In Frederick To Change For Thanksgiving Holiday

Parking will be free on weekends through New Year’s Day.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The City of Frederick says there will be a change in trash collection this week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Residents who set out their household rubbish on Wednesday evening for a Thursday pickup are asked to place it out on Thursday evening for a Friday pickup. And those who put out their trash on Thursday evening for a Friday morning pickup are asked to set it out on Sunday for a Monday pickup.

Commercial trash collection service in the downtown business district will remain on its normal schedule.

Yard waste collection will not take place on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th in observance of Thanksgiving. The city asks residents to hold their yard waste until the next scheduled collection date.

Starting on “Frosty Friday,” November 25th, parking will be free in downtown Frederick at all meters and in the parking decks. The free parking will be in effect each weekend from Saturday at 8:00 AM until Monday at 6:00 AM through New Year’s Day.
