Frederick Police Make Arrest for Heroin, Cocaine and Marijuana

The situation unfolded when an officer saw a man driving a dirt bike erratically and pulled him over.


FREDERICK, MD. (DG)-Frederick Police took a man into custody Tuesday after he assaulted an officer and resisted arrest.

The situation unfolded when an officer saw a man driving a dirt bike erratically on Baughman’s Lane and Key Parkway and pulled him over.

When the officer made contact with the man, he pushed the bike towards the officer, and tried to run. The driver was immediately apprehended and placed in handcuffs.

He has been identified as Christopher Stauffer from Frederick.

Stauffer and the bag he was carrying were searched. Police found 12.7 ounces of marijuana, 1.1 ounces of crack cocaine, 9 grams of heroin, 6 bags of a synthetic marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and over $6,500.

Stauffer was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with possession of drugs, possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, assault, resisting arrest, and fleeing and eluding on foot.
