SYKESVILLE, Md. (DG)-Police say a driver who lost control of their vehicle was killed in an accident early Sunday morning in Sykesville.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident at around 5:15 AM in the area of Streaker Rd. and Rebecca Ct.
Investigators say the driver of a Honda failed to negotiate a left turn in the roadway and ran off the road on the right shoulder, before correcting and traveling back across the road. The Honda then struck a utility pole and overturned, coming to rest on it’s roof.
The male driver was trapped in his car and died at the scene.
