FREDERICK, Md. (DG) –A Brunswick man who sexually abused a two-year-old girl to produce child pornography will be spending several decades time in prison.
On Monday in Frederick County Circuit Court, 34 year old William Steinhaus was sentenced to 25 years in prison for sex abuse of a minor.
That sentence is in addition to 25 years that Steinhaus received in Federal Court in March for sexual exploitation of a child to produce child pornography.
According to a plea agreement, Steinhaus sent a number of photographs of a two year old girl engaging in sexually explicit conduct, as well as numerous messages, on Kik, an instant messaging app.
Steinhaus was sentenced to s total 50 years in prison, with 25 years suspended.
He must register as a sex offender for life when he gets out of prison.
