Guns & Hoses Hockey Game To Help 6-Month Baby Boy

The baby’s mother killed in a hit and run accident in December.

Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex will host a charity hockey game at 7 PM on May 22nd between police officers and firefighters from Frederick, Washington, and Montgomery Counties.

Proceeds from the event will go to help 6-month old Bentley Dorman from Washington County.

Josh Stears, with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said, “Bentley’s mother, 24-year-old Katlyn Hughes, was killed by a hit-and-run driver last December.”

Katlyn leaves behind three children, including 3 week-old Bentley, 4 year-old Blake, and 8 year-old Cadence. Bentley was born premature, and he suffers from bilateral club feet and a Stage 1 brain hemorrhage, which impacts his motor skills and cognitive abilities.

Their grandmother has been caring for the children and the medical bills are extensive. Stears said if you can’t make it to the game, they have set up a GoFundMe page to help the family.
