Several juveniles were flown to area hospitals after an accident in Washington County.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (DG) – Maryland State Police are investigating a serious head-on collision that happened Monday night in Washington County.
Police say at around 8:30 PM, a Dodge Neon was traveling eastbound on Route 40, attempting to make a left turn into a private driveway when it pulled out in front of a Dodge Caravan that was traveling westbound.
The Dodge Caravan was driven by a juvenile male with two juvenile passengers. The Dodge Neon was driven by 19-year-old Cody Stotler of West Virginia. Several passengers were in the vehicle with Stotler during the crash, including a juvenile and 19-year-old Levi Keysecker of West Virginia.
Police say Stotler was transported by Trooper 5 to Western Maryland Regional Hospital in Cumberland. Keysecker and the juvenile passenger were both flown by Trooper 3 to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
All three occupants in the Dodge Caravan were taken to Meritus Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation into the accident is continuing.
