Suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Mt. Airy, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Shell gas station on Lakeview Drive in Mount Airy.
Deputies responded shortly before 4:45 AM Monday morning. They learned a man entered the establishment displaying a handgun. Cash was taken, and the suspect ran toward the rear of the gas station in the direction of Route 27.
A search using a police canine was conducted, but the suspect was not located.
He’s described as a white male in his late 20’s and early 30’s, with a thin build and light colored hair. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt and dark jeans.
Investigators are reviewing the video footage from the Shell station.
