Authorities Arrest Three For Meth Possession

 

Police say  they were running a meth lab.

 

 

Fairplay, Md (KM) Three men have been charged with possession of methamphetamine. The Washington County Narcotics Task Force and US Drug Enforcement Administration say they took Christopher Aaron Griffith, 31, Jeffrey Allen Riggs, 40. and and Jeremy Glen Scott, 31, into custody on Wednesday afternoon. They were apprehended after authorities served a search and seizure warrant at around 3:09 PM on a home 8859 Jordan Road in Fairplay. .

After securing the residence, officers found numerous items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The home was evacuated. The DEA’s Clandestine Laboratory Team and other law enforcement officers made the home and the chemicals inside safe.

After that, the home was searched.

The Narcotics Task Force says Griffith is charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of equipment to manufacture drugs and being a common nuisance. Riggs is charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Scott is charged with possession of oxycodone and possession of paraphernalia.

All three  were taken to Central Booking for processing.
