Police warn about skimming device on local ATM

Frederick, Md. (KK) – Frederick Police are looking for the person who may have witnessed a skimming device being placed on a local ATM. Police say it happened at the Weis grocery store on Old Camp Road in Frederick on December 28th around 7:30 p.m.

Those who may have used that ATM on December 28th or 29th should cancel their card, according to police. Officials recommend using an ATM that’s at a trusted location like a bank and wiggle the reader on the machine. They say an ATM or gas pump reader should not have loose parts.
