Numerous Defendants Indicted by Frederick County Grand Jury

Charges range from burglaries and assaults to prostituting minors.

FREDERICK, MD. (LG) It was an extremely busy day Friday morning for a Frederick County Grand Jury. “Numerous defendants were indicted on charges ranging from burglaries and assaults to prostituting minors,” said Charles Smith, Frederick County States Attorney.

“One of those cases were against Gary Gouge, of New Windsor, Maryland. He was indicted for first and second degree assault as well as felony possession of a firearm. Deputies were dispatched to FMH for an assault that occurred the previous day. The defendant is the victim’s boyfriend and while at his home, they began arguing over her having contact with her ex-boyfriend. The victim told police that Gouge repeatedly punched her in her head, he threw her against a wall and then held her on the ground with a handgun against her head. He told her he would kill her right now. He then stated he would take her out back and shoot her so the kids wouldn’t hear it,” Smith said.

“He then forced the gun in her mouth. Fortunately, she kicked the defendant in the groin, freed herself and ran inside the house. When the defendant fell asleep, the victim was able to sneak out of the house and began walking home and made contact with authorities.”

Also indicted on Friday was Alonso Brazzley, of Frederick, on burglary, arson threat, and 2nd degree assault charges. Another Frederick man, Laterris Taray Plummer, is charged with stabbing his victim in the abdomen. Bernard William Washington, of Keedysville, is facing drug and firearm charges.

“Officers responded to a reported sexual offense after a 12 year old victim met Ramon Manuel Delos-Reyes, of Silver Spring, on an online dating website using his cell phone. The defendant drove the victim to the Montgomery County area after picking him up in Frederick and sexually assaulted him,” Smith said.

Delos-Reyes is facing numerous offenses, to include sexual solicitation of a minor, and three counts of 2nd degree rape. “This is just a horrible case.”
