Two-Vehicle Crash On Rt. 15 Injures 12 People

One was medivaced to a trauma center.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A total of 12 people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 15 at Biggs Ford Road Wednesday morning.

State Police say at around 7:49 AM, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south on Route 15 when the driver lost control of the vehicle which slid sideways. It entered the northbound lanes and was struck by a Ford passenger van.

The driver and a passenger in the Silverado, and ten people in the passenger van were all taken to the hospital; one occupant of the van was medivaced.

The driver of the Silverado told troopers a tractor trailer moved into his lane, causing him to swerve and lose control.

Route 15 northbound was shut down for several hours while State Police conducted their investigation.
