Boonsboro, Md (KM) A Boonsboro man has been charged with four counts of threat of arson for saying he will burn down a home. Brett Wayne Martin, 52, was taken into custody without incident Wednesday morning.
A Deputy Fire Marshals was requested by State Police to respond with them for a domestic call at a home in at 7833 Sharpsburg Pike at around 9:30 AM. The State Fire Marshal’s Office says Martin had made four threats to burn down the home: three over the course of a few months; and the fourth was made that morning. Authorities way witness statements backed up Martin’s threats.
The property is owned by Bucky Rees.
Martin was taken to the Washington County Detention Center.
