Frostburg Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

Maryland State Police say Images of child pornography were found on his electronic devices.

Frostburg, Md (KM) State Police have charged an Allegheny County man with child pornography offenses. Jon Dale Lohr, 80, was arrested Wednesday morning at his home in Frostburg and charged with six counts of possession of child pornography, and three counts of distribution of child pornography.

Investigators with the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in November received a number of downloaded images of child pornography materials which were from a computer traced to Lohr’s residence. A search and seizure warrant was served on the home on Wednesday, where child pornography videos were recovered from Lohr’s electronic devices.

He was arrested at the scene.

The investigation into this case continues.

The Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force consists of the State Police and the US Department of Homeland Security. It also involves police departments all over the state, and is funded by a grant from the US Department of Justice. Investigators focus on identifying those involved in child pornography over the Internet, and other related offenses which victimize children.
