Suspicious Drug Overdose Death Leads to Arrest of Thurmont Man

The victim’s boyfriend gave a lethal dose of heroin to the young lady.

THURMONT, MD.  (LG)    A Thurmont, Maryland man has been arrested and charged with three counts of CDS distribution of a narcotic that resulted in the death of a 25 year old female.

Thurmont Police responded to 122 Sunny Way for a suspicious death. An investigation revealed that the female’s boyfriend, 26 year old Austin Somerset Mack,  allegedly introduced heroin to the young lady, which led to her addiction. Police said Mack provided a lethal dose of heroin to the victim which led to the overdose death.

Police said in a press release that after an autopsy was conducted on the victim, it revealed that the heroin contained Carfentanil and Fentanyl.
