Family Displaced By House Fire Last Friday In Carroll County

The cause is under investigation.

 

Westminster, Md. (KM) A Carroll County family was displaced Friday evening after their home was damaged by fire.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says fire fighters from the Pleasant Valley and Westminster Volunteer Fire Departments were called out  shortly before 8:00 PM to 29 John Owings Road just north of Westminster. They spent 36-minutes bringing the flames under control.

There were no injuries.

Damage to the two-story wood frame home with an attached garage is $70,000 to the structure, and $10,000 to the contents.

The cause remains under investigation.

The fire started on the outside of the home, and was discovered by a neighbor.
