Vacant House Damaged By Fire

Investigators labeled the cause ‘incendiary.’

 

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) There were no injuries from a fire that damaged a vacant house Monday night in Hagerstown.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says at around 8:24 PM, 46 fire fighters from the Maugansville Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to 14,427 Paradise Church Road in Hagerstown. But the fire was out by the time they arrived.

Damage is estimated at $500 to just the structure. It was unoccupied at the time of the blaze..

The cause of the fire is being labeled incendiary. It originated in the dining room of the one-story, single family home, the Fire Marshal’s Office says.
