Humane Society Investigating Death Of A Cat Shot With A Bow & Arrow

A reward of $500 is being offered for information on this incident.

 

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) A $500 reward is being offered by the Humane Society of Washington County for information regarding the fatal shooting of a cat with an arrow.

The Society says last Thursday evening, Field Services officers responded to Mount Aetna Road in Hagerstown after callers found a cat on their property which had been shot with a bow and arrow. Officers say the arrow was still lodged in the cat’s body.

The feline died from its injuries the next morning.

The Society says this is the second time along Mount Aetna Road that a cat has been found fatally shot by an arrow. .

Pet owners are urged to be cautious when letting their animals outside unattended.
