DC Man Pleads Guilty In Human Trafficking Case In Frederick County

He’s expected to be sentenced early next year.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A Washington DC man pleaded guilty on Tuesday in Frederick County Circuit Court to human trafficking conspiracy. Luis Privado, 24, is scheduled to be sentenced on January 30th of next year. .

On December 30th, 2017, Frederick Police responded to a reported abduction at the McDonald’s on Jefferson Street. That’s where officers found Abiathar Vance and a 16-year-old girl who had been reported missing for two months.

In interviews with the victim, authorities say the girl said she met Vance and Privado at Union Station in Washington where Vance talked her into becoming an escort.

He arranged for hotel rooms where the girl would go on “dates” and have sex for money, turning over the cash to Vance. Privado drove the victim from Washington DC to Frederick, and took her to the hotel rooms for her ‘dates.”

Vance’s trial is scheduled to get underway in January, 2019.
