The vehicle had been reported stolen.

Hagerstown, Md (KM) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says a Hagerstown man intentionally set fire to a vehicle, causing $1,000 in damage. Regginald Devante Luv Moody, 23, is charged with 2nd-degree arson, 1st-degree malicious burning and giving a false statement to an officer.

Fire officials say on Wednesday, July 11th, a Washington County Sheriff’s Office found an unattended vehicle at 19723 Shiloh Church Road in Hagerstown. It had been damaged by fire, but the flames self extinguished before the deputy’s arrival, and no fire department services were needed.

A deputy fire marshal conducted an investigation which led to Moody’s arrest. Authorities say the vehicle belonged to Allison Sween, and had been reported stolen on Tuesday, July 10th.

Moody was taken to Washington County Central Booking on Wednesday at 10:20 AM without incident. He was released on a$10,000 unsecured personal bond.
