Frederick, MD (KK) – According to the Maryland Food Bank, more than 682,000 Marylanders are in need of food. Over 220,000 of those are children. That’s why the Maryland Department of Transportation is collecting food as part of the Operation Orange Food Drive.
September is Hunger Action Month at the Maryland Food Bank. Over the past six years, MDOT has collected more than 170,000 pounds of food.
