Walkersville and Mount Airy Residents Head To The Polls

Walkersville has a total of 4,500 registered voters, and 672 residents cast a ballot.


Frederick, Md. (DG) – Walkersville Town Burgess Chad Weddle won re-election Monday as residents headed to the polls.

Tom Gilbert, Mary Ann Brodie-Ennis, Michael McNiesh, John Zimmerman, and Michael Reed Bailey were all elected to the next town commission.

Walkersville has a total of 4,500 registered voters, and 672 residents cast a ballot.

Mount Airy held it’s first special election Monday to fill the seat left vacant by Councilman Scott Strong.

Over 730 ballots were cast, and Patty Washabaugh was elected to serve in that position until May 2021.
