Woman Charged With Setting Fire To Potomac Edison Vehicle

She was seen by a neighbor igniting items underneath the vehicle.

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) A Hagerstown woman is charged with setting fire to a Potomac Edison vehicle. Leanne Kuehnle, 52, was arrested on Thursday afternoon, and charged with 2nd-degree arson, 1st-degree malicious burning and malicious destruction of property over $1,000.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says eight fire fighters from the Long Meadown Volunteer Fire Company and the City of Hagerstown Fire Department were dispatched st around 2:25 PM to 13, 579 Donnybrook Drive north of Hagertown for a Ford F-150 Crew Cab on fire. Personnel were able to put out the flames within 20-minutes.

Investigators say Kuehnle was seen by a neighbor carrying a gasoline container in one hand, and a cigarette lighter in another, and then setting items underneath the truck on fire. That person called 911.

Damage is estimated at $15,000 to the vehicle and its contents.
