The Frederick Children’s Chorus Plans Their Holiday Concert

This is the 24th year for this event.

Frederick – RD – The Frederick Children’s Chorus is planning their annual holiday show according to chorus Director Lee Fuhr, ” The Messiah Sing Along is in it’s 24th year and we have always done it at the Weinberg Center. We do George Freidric Handle’s iconic work, ‘The Messiah.'”

The show is a tradition and includes Chorus and Orchestra. Many participants return to perform in the show. “Almost all of our orchestra instrumentalists are local and many of them have done it for 24 years.”

The singing performers are from the older group of Chorus members. “Our high school ensemble is made up of about 35 singers and we have recent alums who are coming back from college that join the high-school students on stage. We have about 50 to 60 singers on stage.”

A pre-concert reception is planned for donors to the Chorus.

The event is scheduled for the Weinberg Center on December the 18th at 8:00 PM.You can purchase tickets for this holiday event at the Weinberg Center web site at https://weinbergcenter.org/shows/the-messiah-sing-along/
