5th Annual Pack A Police Car

The event is in support of the Frederick Community Action Agency.

FREDERICK, MD.  (LG)   The Frederick Police Department, is once again, inviting the public to come out and stuff their vehicles with non-perishable items.

“Well, Pack A Police Car was started 5 years ago with the thought that we could work with the community and collect items to bring to our food bank here at the Frederick Community Action Agency, and help them stock their shelves during the holidays,” said Michelle Bowman, Public Information Coordinator, FPD.

“We are very fortunate that we have a very caring community who has brought us a lot of items. The Frederick Community Action Agency shows up as well, so we put the items in the police cars and the overflows in their box trucks, and it really helps the community members who are in need of assistance this time of the year,” she continued.

It’s taking place at the Wal-Mart on Monocacy Blvd, Saturday, December 8th, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The Frederick Police Department is asking community members to drop off non-perishable foods and personal care items.

Through a wide array of programs and services, the Frederick Community Action Agency provides food, shelter, medical care, housing, and other forms of assistance to families and individuals that are low-income or homeless.
