Double Homicide Trial Begins This Week

The suspect is charged with running over two individuals last year.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The trial of a New York City man charged with a double homicide in Frederick County last year is scheduled to begin on Monday. Delajhi Joyner, 25, was arrested in November, 2017, following the deaths of a man and a woman on Acacia Court just outside of Frederick.

The Sheriff’s Office says Joyner was taken into custody for assaulting Jermaine Langley Hill, Jr., 19, and Shondre Janelle Brown Naylor, 37, and running over both of them with a car.. Deputies arriving at the scene saw their bodies lying in the roadway. Emergency Medical personnel were dispatched to Acacia Court, and pronounced the two victims dead at the scene. Both were Frederick residents.

Joyner is charged with two counts of 1st-degree murder.

The State’s Attorney’s Office expects the trial to last two weeks.
