Delajhi Joyner charged with two murders in Frederick County.
Frederick, Md (KM) The trial of Delajhi Joyner, 25, is scheduled to resume on Thursday at 9:00 AM
The New York City man is charged with two counts of 1st-degree murder for the death of Shondre Naylor and Jermaine Hill, both of Frederick. l. They were stabbed in the neck and run over twice by an automobile along Acacia Court just outside of Frederick in November, 2017.
The victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Joyner has pleaded not guilty.
Jury selection took place on Monday and part of Tuesday, followed by opening statements. The State began calling its witnesses on Tuesday.
The Frederick County Court House, like others around Maryland, was closed on Wednesday due to a national day of mourning for the death of former President George H.W. Bush.
