Two Thurmont Residents Charged With Robbery Offenses

They were arrested early Tuesday morning.

 

 

Thurmont, Md (KM) Two robbery suspects were arrested Tuesday morning by Thurmont Police. Bradley Michael Faulkner, 26, and Amanda Marie Stottlemyer, 28, both of Thurmont, were taken into custody during a traffic stop along Creagerstown Road. Authorities say the car the two were in was being operated in an unsafe manner. Police say drugs and drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle.

Officers took them into custody, and, after questioning, the two admitted to attempting to rob the Liberty Gas Station on North Church Street at around 5:00 AM on Tuesday, and robbing the Highs Store on Frederick Road at around 6:30 AM.

In the Highs holdup, the suspect indicted to the clerk on duty that he had a knife. An undisclosed amount of money was taken. Police say the individual who robbed the Highs store had a description similar to the suspect in the Liberty Gas Station attempted robbery.

Authorities say Foster and Stottlemyer are also suspected of a recent attempted theft on Jimtown Road.

Faulkner is charged with attempted robbery, armed robbery, theft less than $500, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of heroin. Stottlemyer is charged with attempted robbery, armed robbery, theft less than $500, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Following their arrests, the two were transported to the Adult Detention Center for processing.
