Crash On I-70 Near Hagerstown On Wed. Morning Slows Traffic In Washington, Frederick Counties

A tractor trailer driver was charged.

 

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) A collision involving two tractor trailers along eastbound Interstate 70 in Washington County tied up traffic for several hours Wednesday morning.

State Police say a rig operated by Larry Curry, 43, of Ohio was traveling eastbound on I-70 near the 37-mile marker when his vehicle struck another tractor trailer. Both trucks were traveling in lane three at the time of the crash.

Curry was taken to Meritus Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Troopers say Curry is charged with failure to control speed to avoid a collision.

Laniece Rochell-Renee Youngblood, 43, from Michigan, was the operator of the second tractor trailer.

The eastbound lanes of I-70 near Hagerstown were closed for a time while State Troopers conducted their investigation.
