Emmitsburg, Md (KM) The vehicle and the driver involved in the fatal hit and run near Emmitsburg on Saturday morning has been located.
After the incident over the weekend, State Police say they received numerous calls at the Frederick Barrack from witnesses which eventually led investigators to a collision repair center in Gettysburg, Pa., where a white Honda CR-V and its driver were located.
Troopers say the driver is not being identified at this time, and charges are pending a review by the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Austin Lee Frushour, 21, of Thurmont was struck by a vehicle along Route 15 near Old Frederick Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.
Frushour’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
