House Fire In Sharpsburg Displaces Two Residents

The cause remains under investigation.

 

Sharpsburg, Md (KM) The cause of a house fire in Sharpsburg late Monday night remains under investigation.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, 44 fire fighters responded to   3808 Mills Road at around 11:18 PM, and spent 20-minutes bringing the flames under control.

The home’s two occupants suffered minor smoke inhalation, but refused treatment at the scene.

Damage is estimated at $60,000 to the contents and $60,000 to the structure.

Fire marshals say the fire originated in the basement.

The two occupants, identified as Lou and Gary Baker, were displaced, but are being assisted by family members.
