More Dead Dogs Found At Home In Hampstead

They were in various states of decomposition.

Hampstead, Md (KM) Authorities in Carroll County say more deceased dogs were found at a house in the 4300 block of Black Rock Road in Hampstead.

The Humane Society and the Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on the home on Monday and located 15 dead dogs in a shed on the property;  and one more dead dog was found in the residence. All of the canines were in various stages of decomposition.

These deceased dogs found on Monday are in addition to the 11 dead canines found last week at the house.

Officials say  John J. Roberts, 49 and Laura S. Filler, 55, both of Westminster,  remain in custody. Both are charged with animal cruelty.

The Humane Society is continuing its investigation.

The 27 dogs recovered from the home last week remain under the care of the Humane Society. Anyone who wants to help out with the care of these canines can make a donation on the Humane Society’s website at hscarroll.org.
