Taneytown Man Pleads Guilty To Witness Retaliation

He burned the car of an individual in retaliation for the man telling police about his illegal firearm possession.


Baltimore, Md. (DG) – A Carroll County felon pleaded guilty to illegal possession of firearms and witness retaliation Monday in Federal Court in Baltimore.

40-year-old Jason Kiser from Taneytown admitted he burned the car of an individual in retaliation for the man telling police about Kiser’s illegal firearm possession.

Authorities say on July 17, 2018, the victim’s vehicle was burned. DNA evidence collected at the scene matched Kiser’s DNA.

Kiser is facing between eight to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced on August 7, 2019.
