Thousands of Runners Expected at the Frederick Running Festival

Police warn of traffic delays during the event

FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Running Festival is taking place this weekend. This is one of the largest events held each year in the city.

During the half marathon on Sunday, the following roads will be closed:

East Patrick Street (between Franklin & East Streets) -6:15 – 7:15 am

East Street (southbound lanes between Patrick St. & Monocacy Blvd) 6:30 – 7:30 am

Monocacy Blvd (westbound lanes between East and Market Streets) 6:45 – 7:45 am

Market Street (between Monocacy and 6th Streets) 6:45 – 8:15 am

6th Street (between Market and Bentz Streets) 6:45 – 8:15 am

Bentz Street (between 6th St. and Carroll Pkwy) 7:00 – 8:30 am

Carroll Parkway (between Bentz St and Fairview Ave) 7:00 – 8:45 am

Kline Blvd (between Carroll Pkwy and Fairview Ave) 7:15 – 9:00 am

Fairview Ave (between Kline Blvd and 2nd Street) 7:15 – 9:15 am

W. Church Street (between Schifferstadt and Holden Rd) 8:00 – 10:30 am
