Frederick County Grand Jury Indicts Jefferson Man on Murder Charges

Myers is charged in connection to the death of his girlfriend.

FREDERICK, MD. (LG) The Frederick County Grand Jury indicted a Jefferson, Maryland man Friday morning on one count of 1st degree murder, in the death of his girlfriend, 24 year old Heather Caitlin Williams.

“Chris Lee Myers, 39, lived with the victim. He was her boyfriend,” said Smith. “He was actually arrested by the Baltimore City Police on that same day that Williams was found deceased.”

Smith said Miss Williams was found in her residence deceased by her relatives. “She didn’t arrive at her relatives residence, as expected, so they actually went to her residence to do a welfare check. Her vehicle was gone and she didn’t answer the door, so unfortunately, the relatives busted down the door, in the early morning hours, and found the deceased inside with a substantial head injury,” continued Smith.

Myers was driving Williams’ car when he was stopped in Baltimore by Police. A search of the vehicle revealed blood stains. The victim’s cell phone and purse were also found in the vehicle.

Myers is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Also indicted was Iman James, of Frederick, on drug charges, Skye Bogert, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, on numerous drug offenses, and Ali Giusti, of Frederick, for 1st and 2nd degree assault.
