One man was taken into custody.
A Walkersville man was arrested Thursday on a long list of drug offenses. Demetrious Grayson Bowie, 27, was taken into custody at a home in the 8700 block of Beacon Circle.
He’s charged with possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute heroin/fentanly mix, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute heroin and concealing physical evidence.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says a search and seizure warrant was executed at a home where Bowie was present, where 24.4 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 25.2 grams of cocaine, 17.3 grams of marijuana and $3,108 in cash.were located.
Authorities say Bowie was found on the second floor of his home. He refused commands from the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, and tried to destroy evidence by flushing it down the toilet. Deputies were able to recover the drugs still in plastic baggies.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this operation by its High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area partners from the Frederick Police, Maryland State Police, US Homeland Security Investigations and the Brunswick Police.
