Libertytown, Md (KM) One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Libertytown Tuesday afternoon.
State Police say the wreck involving a car and a truck occurred along Route 26 between Albaugh Road and Unionville Road. Troopers say two other people were injured.
That stretch of Route 26 remains closed while authorities conduct an investigation. Detours have been set up.Westbound traffic will be sent through Unionville Road and then to Albaugh Road and back to Route 26. Traffic heading eastbound will be detoured to Albaugh Road and then to Unionville Road and on to Route 36.
In addition to the State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, and crash accident reconstructionists, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been called to the scene, and the State’s Attorney’s Office has been contacted pending any possible charges, according to State Police.
