Smithsburg Man Charged With Drug, Weapons Offenses

Authorities also found stolen property in his home during a search & seizure operation.

 

A Smithburg man was arrested Tuesday following a search and seizure operation at his  home in Frederick County. The Sheriff’s Office say Timothy Allen Lewis, 51, is charged  three counts of drug possession (not marijuana), firearm possession with a felony  conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm and three counts of possession of paraphernalia.

During a search and seizure operation at a home in the 4200 block of Garfield Road in Smithsburg in Frederick County, authorities confiscated cocaine, digital scales, drug paraphernalia and a handgun. . Also located were some stolen items.

A Sheriff’s Office detective is in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the stolen property.

In addition to Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputies, members of the Washington County Special Response Team assisted in this operation.

The Frederick High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area partners the Frederick Police, Maryland State Police, Brunswick Police and Homeland Security Investigations assisted with the investigation,  and the search warrant.
