Frederick Police Announce Increased Patrols Following Violent Incidents

The Department said they take serious events seriously.

Frederick, MD – Frederick City Police announced Saturday night they will be increasing police presence following a series of three unrelated violent events occurring in Frederick over the weekend.

“The Department takes these incidents seriously and has added additional officers to be out in the community throughout the holiday weeked,” said an advisory from the FPD.

Police reported a fight and a shooting on North Market Street and a stabbing on Blueridge Court.

The Department encouraged the public to call and report any suspicious activity
