Hagerstown, Md (KM) Maryland State Police have released the name of the individual who died in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 near Hagerstown on Thursday morning. He’s John Himes, 69, of Tannery, Pennsylvania.
Troopers say Himes was the operator of a Toyota Tacoma which was traveling eastbound along I-70 in lane one near Sharpsburg Pike. While trying to enter lane two, Himes’ vehicle struck a Toyota SUV. He over corrected and drove through the median, smashing head-on into a dump truck.
Himes was pronounced dead at the scene.
