The teacher is charged with sex abuse of a minor and fourth-degree sex offense by a person of authority.
Rockville, Md (DG) – A Montgomery County high school teacher was arrested on Wednesday for sexually abusing a female student.
Peter Wright Priest Mason, 42, of New Market, is a teacher at Colonel Zadok Magruder High School in Derwood and is charged with sex abuse of a minor and fourth-degree sex offense by a person of authority.
Police started investigating Mason on November 2.
Mason has been employed with Montgomery County Public Schools since 2011, and he worked as a paraeducator at Northwest High School in Germantown from 2011 to 2015.
Detectives are asking parents to talk to their children if they had contact with the Mason.
