It’s a Prince George’s County man in his 60’s with an underlying medical condition.
Annapolis Md (KM) Maryland has recorded its first death from the coronavirus. The Governor’s Office announced Wednesday night that a Prince George’s County man in his 60’s with an underlying medical condition has succumbed COVID-19.
“It is with profound sadness that I announce the first death in Maryland as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. I ask all Marylanders to join me in praying for his family and loved ones during this difficult time,” Governor Larry Hogan said in a statement. “As we pray for his loved ones, I ask that we continue to pray for each other, our state, and our nation as we face this crisis together. We must use every possible resource at every level of government to save lives and keep people safe.”
His office says Governor Hogan will hold a news conference on Thursday at 10:00 AM to provide updates and announce additional actions.
